Cherry Angioma


 

This is the most common acquired benign vascular proliferation on the skin. It consists of ectatic capillaries and post capillary venules in the dermis. They appear usually in the 30's and afterward. They are asymptomatic unless traumatized externally with clothing or scratching. They can appear anywhere on the body but commonly on the trunk and proximal extremities. They appear as dome-shaped papules of varying sizes.
